Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract This role offers leadership and hands-on responsibilities in a critical access hospital setting, overseeing pharmacy operations and providing direct patient care. The position is based in New Pine Creek, OR, within a 25-bed facility with a daily census averaging 10 patients. This contract offers a 13-week engagement with the potential for direct hire.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the Director of Pharmacy and working staff pharmacist, providing inpatient pharmaceutical care. Manage daily pharmacy operations and staff, including two pharmacy technicians. Perform and oversee sterile compounding as needed. Verify and check intravenous (IV) preparations completed by pharmacy technicians. Utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell automation systems.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No on-call duties required.
Qualifications:
Active Oregon pharmacy license. Demonstrated experience managing pharmacy operations in an inpatient setting. Proven skills in sterile compounding. Familiarity with Cerner order entry and Omnicell automation preferred.
