City Meridian State ID Category Pharmacy Description & Requirements Outpatient Pharmacy Extern St. Luke's Health System - Meridian, Idaho Part-Time | Outpatient Pharmacy Overview St. Luke's Health System is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Outpatient Pharmacy Extern to join our pharmacy team in Meridian, Idaho. This position provides hands-on experience in outpatient pharmacy operations while working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The Pharmacy Extern assists with medication preparation and dispensing, inventory management, and departmental support activities while developing foundational pharmacy practice skills in a patient-focused environment. Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in compounding and dispensing prescription medications. Support pharmacists and pharmacy staff in daily outpatient pharmacy operations. Perform clerical and administrative duties related to pharmacy workflow. Receive, organize, and store incoming medication and supply shipments. Verify stock levels and enter data into pharmacy computer systems to maintain accurate inventory records. Complete required documentation accurately and timely. Maintain compliance with departmental policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Education Enrollment in or recent graduation from an accredited college of pharmacy program. Experience No prior experience required. Licenses/Certifications Valid Pharmacy Intern/Extern license in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), American Heart Association (AHA), or American Red Cross (ARC).
