Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A healthcare facility is seeking two skilled Pharmacy Technicians to support inpatient pharmacy operations. This contract opportunity offers distinct shift options to accommodate different schedules, requiring experienced technicians familiar with hospital pharmacy environments.
Location:
Richmond, IN area (flexibility to relocate or commute is needed)
Schedule:
Position 1: Nights, 7 days on, 7 days off, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM Position 2: Days/Afternoons, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounding medications with accuracy and attention to detail Restock automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis machines) throughout the hospital Field phone calls directed to the pharmacy, providing timely responses Deliver medications to patient care floors efficiently and safely Identify and remove expired medications to maintain compliance and safety standards
Qualifications:
Valid IN Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain one quickly (licensing is straightforward for out-of-state techs) Minimum of 2 years current hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred Strong knowledge of sterile compounding practices and medication handling protocols Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to high-quality pharmacy services in a supportive hospital setting.
