Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A one-time opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician within a Federally Qualified Health Center setting in Snow Hill, NC. This contract position supports maternity leave coverage with an expected duration of 13+ weeks, starting in late May. The role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. The Pharmacy Technician will play an integral part in daily pharmacy operations by efficiently managing medication dispensing, overseeing inventory control, facilitating insurance processes, providing excellent customer service, and conducting patient consults.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispense prescription medications accurately and in compliance with all regulations. Manage pharmacy inventory to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained. Assist with insurance claims and verification to support timely medication access. Provide clear, compassionate customer service to patients and address inquiries. Conduct medication consults under professional guidance to enhance patient understanding.

Qualifications and Experience:

Must hold a valid North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license. Minimum of one year of pharmacy technician experience is required. Familiarity with pharmacy operations within a health center or similar setting is highly valued. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills essential. Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
