Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract To Hire An experienced retail pharmacy technician is needed for a 13-week contract with potential for hire. This role supports a specialty retail pharmacy that focuses on serving patients with complex medication regimens, often managing 8-15 medications daily.

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00

PM Contract Duration:

13 weeks, contract to hire

Start Date:

ASAP Key Responsibilities:

Accurately prepare and dispense medications for patients with chronic and complex conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, multiple sclerosis, and rheumatoid arthritis Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients who may have low literacy and multiple barriers to medication adherence Maintain a thorough knowledge of the top 200-400 drugs typically found in retail pharmacy settings Provide exceptional support for Medicare and Medicaid patients and other low-income populations, ensuring understanding and proper medication use

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid Ohio pharmacy technician license PTCB certification highly preferred, but not required Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of patience and empathy Specialty retail pharmacy experience is strongly preferred, especially working with advanced chronic disease patients Ability to manage complex medication profiles efficiently and accurately This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a specialty pharmacy environment dedicated to improving medication outcomes for vulnerable populations.
