Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A hospital inpatient pharmacy technician role is available in Richland Center, WI, for a 13-week contract assignment. This position requires providing essential pharmacy support in a hospital setting, ensuring safe and efficient medication handling for inpatient care.
Key responsibilities include:
Restocking Pyxis machines and verifying medication stock levels Checking for outdated medications and proper labeling Restocking medications, IVs, and supplies Entering charges accurately into the system Ordering and receiving drug shipments Monitoring and documenting storage temperatures Preparing sterile products and maintaining cleanroom cleanliness Preparing chemotherapy medications under sterile conditions Performing daily cleanroom cleaning tasks Assisting with other pharmacy duties as assigned Schedule details: Monday to Friday shifts with hours from 7 AM to 7 PM Weekend shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM on a rotating schedule (every 4th weekend) Weekday shifts may be either 8 or 10 hours in duration Qualifications and experience desired: Current Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license, or the ability to obtain one promptly Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy protocols, sterile compounding, and medication safety Ability to work reliably within assigned schedules and rotations This opportunity is ideal for candidates experienced in hospital inpatient pharmacy operations, ready for an immediate start in a dynamic healthcare environment.
