Pharmacy Technician

Job Title:

Overnight Pharmacy Technician Wednesday through Tuesday (7 days on and 7 days off) Weekday schedule - (830pm-7am) Weekend schedule (630pm-5am) Responsibilities Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner under the supervision of a pharmacist. Pick, label, scan, and otherwise prepare finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist. Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of medications according to established procedures. Prepack frequently ordered medications, label them correctly, and store them as needed during low-volume times. Manually package materials and products to support prescription fulfillment. Pull and pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas, including prepack racks. Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to perform accuracy checks. Alert the pharmacist on duty about any medication or product that does not scan properly or appears incorrect. Maintain designated workstation areas in a clean and orderly manner and replenish all stock supplies as needed. Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA, to protect patient information and ensure compliance. Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Work overtime, holidays, and weekends when required or expected to support operational needs. Perform other duties as assigned to support overall pharmacy operations. Essential Skills Active Pharmacy Technician license issued by the Illinois Board of Pharmacy. National Certified Pharmacy Technician credential. High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience. Ability to stand for long periods of time during the shift. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds safely and repeatedly. Ability to work at a moderate speed while handling high-volume prescription orders. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to follow instructions and documentation. Strong computer and data entry skills to maintain accuracy in prescription processing. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in medication filling and labeling. Ability to work under the supervision of a pharmacist and follow established procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Willowbrook, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.84 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
