Job Description

Pharmacy Technician + Insurance Agent Role We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in a dual-role capacity: Pharmacy Technician and Licensed Insurance Agent . This unique position allows you to work directly with patients to support their pharmacy needs while also guiding them through their health plan options — including Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage, Part D plans, and individual plans. You'll be a trusted resource, ensuring patients get the medications and coverage that best fit their needs. Key Responsibilities Pharmacy Technician Duties Accurately and efficiently process prescription orders under pharmacist supervision. Provide exceptional customer service to patients picking up prescriptions. Maintain patient records, verify insurance information, and resolve claim issues. Assist with inventory management and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations. Insurance Agent Duties Educate patients about Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Part D plans. Guide individuals through plan comparisons and enrollment processes. Maintain active insurance licenses and complete required continuing education.
Qualifications Required:
Active Pharmacy Technician License (or eligibility for registration/certification). State Health & Life Insurance License (or willingness to obtain within [60] days of hire).
Preferred:
2+ year experience in a community pharmacy setting. Familiarity with Medicare insurance products. Excellent communication and patient education skills. Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Passion for helping patients navigate healthcare decisions. Comfort with technology (pharmacy management software, MS Excel). Ability to explain complex information in a clear, patient-friendly manner.
