Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician to support an inpatient hospital pharmacy in Richland Center, WI. This contract role focuses on essential pharmacy operations within a hospital environment, requiring hands-on experience with medication handling and sterile preparation.
Responsibilities include:
Restocking Pyxis machines and medication supplies Checking for outdated products and ensuring proper inventory management Preparing intravenous (IV) medications and sterile products, including chemotherapy agents Entering charges and managing drug shipment orders and receipts Monitoring temperatures of storage areas to maintain compliance Performing daily cleaning in the pharmacy cleanroom to uphold sterile conditions Handling additional duties as assigned by the pharmacy teamSchedule:
Monday through Friday, with shifts of either 8 or 10 hours Weekend shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM, on a rotation of every 4th weekend Hours of operation are from 7 AM to 7 PM on weekdays and 7 AM to 3 PM on weekends Immediate start available Assignment duration: 13 weeksQualifications:
Current Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license, or the ability to obtain one quickly Approximately 2 years of recent experience working as an inpatient hospital pharmacy technician, demonstrating competence in sterile compounding and unit-dose operations This contract offers a chance to apply your pharmacy technician skills in a hospital inpatient setting with a well-defined schedule and a supportive work environment.
