Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract To Hire A specialty retail pharmacy technician position is available for an immediate start with a 13-week contract that may transition into a permanent role. This opportunity is based in Medina, OH, and focuses on serving complex patients who typically manage 8-15 medications daily.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately dispense medications and manage prescriptions for patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, multiple sclerosis, and rheumatoid arthritis. Provide compassionate and clear communication, especially to patients with low literacy or in vulnerable populations, including Medicare/Medicaid recipients and low-income individuals. Maintain strong knowledge of the top 200-400 retail drugs to support proper medication counseling and safety. Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure high-quality patient care in a specialty retail pharmacy environment.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Experience as a retail or specialty pharmacy technician, particularly with patients managing complicated medication regimens. Patience and strong communication skills to effectively interact with a diverse, often medically complex patient population. Ohio pharmacy technician license is required. PTCB certification is highly preferred but not mandatory.

Schedule:
