LAB-Phlebotomists Position Summary Summary:

Under the direction of the Staffing Office Nurse Manager, the Phlebotomist obtains blood specimens and assists in other tasks as needed.

Qualifications Responsibilities:

Education Required Must complete in-house orientation program High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience And Skills Excellent interpersonal skills Speaks, reads and writes English Completion of a phlebotomy course. No previous experience required but must train at MSSN under supervisor, demonstrate technical competency and pass a written proficiency test prior to drawing without supervision. Requires manual dexterity. Possess good communication skills.

License/Certifications Working Conditions Other information:

Working Conditions Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn Walking and standing for prolonged periods of time. Exposure to biohazardous materials.
