Summary The Photo Art Director - Studio is responsible for the oversight, development, presentation, and creation of brand and campaign visual assets that will be used across advertising channels including but not limited to: Buckle.com, email, print, social, and paid media. This teammate will also be responsible for overseeing and developing asset management governance for content within Marketing. Collaborate with Photographers, Stylists, Art Directors, and Retouchers to execute creative and innovative ideas and that are on strategy and on brand for seasonal and branded requirements. Work effectively with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Social Media, Brand Creative, and Merchandising utilizing a deep understanding of seasonal trends and messaging to develop concepts, designs and art direction to support the strategy. Provide and execute strategic visual solutions for marketing materials such as paid, email, social, marketing landing pages, site/app refreshes, print and out-of-home (OOH). Apply conceptual thinking and creativity to complex business problems translating strategic campaign briefs from conception to production. Actively participate in the ideation process leveraging research, analytics and brand insights. Elevate and evolve brand aesthetics while supporting overall brand direction. Attend meetings as photo art direction lead and stay current with market trends to understand the competitive landscape. Provide direction on studio sets while overseeing multiple talents producing video or photo assets. Create and communicate mood boards to articulate photo, styling, HMU, and lighting directions Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit. Special projects and other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities The Teammate in this role will supervise teammates in the junior photo art director role. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include hiring and training Teammates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Teammates; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and complete errands based on business needs. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the Teammate regularly works in an office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
