Position Overview Central Florida Preparatory School is seeking a passionate, energetic, and student-centered Physical Education Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will foster students' physical, social, and emotional development through engaging fitness, wellness, and movement-based instruction across multiple grade levels. The successful candidate will promote teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and healthy lifestyle habits while creating a positive and structured learning environment. Experience participating in or coaching team sports such as volleyball, soccer, basketball, or similar athletic programs is preferred. At CFP, teachers are expected to demonstrate excellence through strong classroom management, relationship-building, collaboration, and a commitment to student success. Key ResponsibilitiesAchievement Drive Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate physical education lessons and activities. Promote physical fitness, coordination, teamwork, and lifelong wellness habits. Encourage participation and build student confidence through positive reinforcement and skill development. Adapt instruction to support students with varying abilities and learning styles. Maintain high expectations for student behavior, participation, and achievement. Stay current with best practices in physical education, fitness, and student wellness. Classroom Structure and Planning Develop structured lesson plans aligned with school-wide goals and grade-level expectations. Establish clear classroom procedures and routines that promote safety and engagement. Maintain and monitor PE equipment and ensure safe participation during activities. Integrate technology and creative instructional strategies when appropriate. Complete administrative responsibilities including attendance, lesson planning, and student progress reporting. Student and Parent Relationships Foster a positive and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged and supported. Build meaningful relationships with students that promote confidence, discipline, and teamwork. Maintain professional communication with parents regarding student progress and participation. Participate in school events, spirit activities, and extracurricular programs as part of the CFP community. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field. Previous teaching or coaching experience required. Experience with team sports such as volleyball, soccer, basketball, or related athletic activities preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to engage students across a variety of age groups and skill levels. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Commitment to the mission, values, and culture of CFP.
