Job Description

Schedule Mon - Sat Flex Overview Responsible for planning, designing and the over sight of the installation of security devices at AFCU facilities, including new construction and remodels. Obtains external cost from vendors to estimate costs of projects where security equipment will be involved and assists with developing budgets for such projects. Oversees the planning, scheduling, and install of security equipments for new construction and remodels Establishes and maintains positive relations with vendors and suppliers. This position requires strong organization and project management skills. Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills and attention to detail. Responsibilities 1. Acts as a liaison between the credit union, architect and vendor. a. Visits job sites on a regular basis to assist with and oversee installation of security equipment. b. Reviews quality of workmanship and installation of security equipment at remodels and new construction sites. c. Monitors process of installation of security equipment to ensure project stays on schedule and coordinates with AFFCU project manager. 2. Assumes responsibility for ensuring effective cost controls during projects. a. Researches, analyzes and oversees vendors and contractors to ensure that supplies, equipment and services are of acceptable quality, competitively priced and delivered in a timely manner. b. Stays updated on advancing technologies & provides support to installers on site. c. Prepares and analyzes bids. d. Reviews all project-related invoices to ensure accuracy, proper GL allocation, and compliance with contract terms. 3. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Credit Union personnel and Management. a. Assists and supports branches and departments as needed, with training needs and security needs. Responds to questions and information requests. b. Add and updates information via e mail when necessary. c. Conducts or oversees training of CU staff and vendors on the proper use of alarm and camera systems. 4. Keeps Security Director informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns. a. Attends and participates in meetings and committees as assigned. b. Writes and maintains procedures on proper use of camera and alarm systems. 5. Ensures that passwords, keys and security access are properly issued and controlled. a. Monitors and maintains physical security equipment of all CU facilities. b. Assesses effectiveness of alarm & camera systems and other security devices. c. Ensures that security equipment is appropriate in protecting CU employees, assets and members. d. Manages control panel programming and the operating system for alarm and camera systems. Adds and deletes users to those systems. e. Manages card access system. Creates clearances and adds/deletes users. e. Remains "on call" as needed. 6. Responsible to keep current of changing technologies concerning security equipment. a. Needs to keep abreast of changing technologies and vulnerabilities in area of physical security. b. Keeps current with the new products/service that will afford current standards of protection against vulnerabilities that could harm CU staff, members and facilities. c. Keeps current with changing branch needs regarding procedures that could necessitate different equipment. 7. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned. a. Initiates or participates in special projects as assigned. b. Keeps work areas clean, secure and well maintained. #IND21
Qualifications Training/Education/Certification:
High school graduate or equivalent. Some College preferred
Required Knowledge:
Knowledge of the types of Credit Union fraud and the processes in identifying them.
Experience Required:
Two to four years of related experience in financial setting
Skills/Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Professional and tactful Persistent, able to work in stressful situations. Attentive to detail Ability to assist others Must be able to work flexible hours. Able to operate PC, 10-key, phones, VCR, monitors, and other basic business machines.
