Job Description

State licensure or certification require We are seeking a compassionate, part-time Pediatric Physical Therapist and/or Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will evaluate (PT) and treat (PT and PTA) children with congenital disabilities, developmental delays, and movement disorders. Your goal will be to utilize play-based therapeutic interventions to help our youngest patients reach their maximum functional potential and developmental milestones. Responsibilities Clinical Assessment (PT): Evaluate patient needs regarding muscle tone, posture, gait, strength, joint flexibility, and gross motor development. Treatment Planning (PT) : Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that disguises hard work as enjoyable, age-appropriate games.
Treatment:
Execute evidence-based treatment plans.
Caregiver Education:
Teach parents and caregivers practical home-exercise programs and safe handling techniques to ensure therapeutic progress continues between sessions.
Equipment Provision:
Assess and recommend appropriate adaptive equipment, orthotics, or mobility supports to enhance the child's independence.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
Coordinate care and consult with occupational therapists, speech therapists, educators, and physicians.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant charting, billing logs, and progress reports according to state and payer guidelines.
Skills Physical Therapist Education:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Licensure:
Current, active Physical Therapy license in
Pennsylvania Certifications:
CPR certification, Child Abuse and Criminal Background Clearances required.
Experience:
Prior clinical experience in pediatric physical therapy (outpatient, early intervention, or school setting) is highly preferred.
Physical Therapist Assistant Education:
Completion of an accredited physical therapy program
Licensure:
Current, active Physical Therapist Assistant license in
Pennsylvania Certifications:
CPR certification, Child Abuse and Criminal Background Clearances required
Experience:
At least 2 years of licensed experience under direct supervision, or Employment as a PTA for at least 3 of the previous 5 years. Prior clinical experience in pediatric physical therapy (outpatient, early intervention, or school setting) is highly preferred.
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$25.00 - $45.00 per hour
