Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized care plans for patients across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility settings. Apply therapeutic techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy modalities to support pain relief and functional improvement. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatment, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care environments through education and exercise instruction. Maintain detailed records of patient care activities, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and healthcare regulations. Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility aids, and injury prevention strategies tailored to specific needs such as orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, or post-surgical recovery. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care delivery and optimal outcomes. Experience Proven experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in inpatient or outpatient clinics is preferred. Skilled nursing facility experience or home health care background is highly desirable. Familiarity with acute care environments and discharge planning processes enhances effectiveness in this role. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and specific therapeutic techniques such as trigger point therapy is essential. Prior involvement in orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, or sports rehabilitation will support diverse patient needs. Demonstrated ability to develop and follow care plans while adapting interventions based on patient progress is crucial.
