Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to work under the direction of the Physical Therapist. (Experience is preferred but we are also happy to consider a candidate who has recently graduated from a PTA program with a temporary PTA license.) The position is offered as Full -Time with benefits or Part-Time, without benefits.

Responsibilities:

Follows the Plan of Care established by the Physical Therapist and practices within state practice guidelines. Actively participates in patient care, notifying the supervising Physical Therapist of changes in the patient's condition. Exercises sound judgment, care, professionalism and skill in the performance of duties. Instructs and counsels patients effectively in exercises and recovery. Identifies patient's needs and exhibits compassion and caring. Conveys potential modifications ensuring patient's progress, safety and comfort to the Physical Therapist. Completes documentation in the EMR to support the delivery of physical therapy services

Skills:

PTA, Licensed to practice in the State or compact license. Will entertain a graduated student with temporary licensure. Experience in outpatient settings Ability to communicate effectively with patients. Compensation is based on experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.

Pay:

$27.00 - $31.00 per hour
