Job Description
Are you tired of treating many patients per hour and feeling overwhelmed with high productivity standards? Resolve Physical Therapy was created under the principle of providing high quality of care in an intimate one on one setting. We feel that the industry has in recent years become more impersonal due to changes in insurance reimbursement and large corporation productivity business models. We wanted to create an environment where you do not feel as if you are "just a number" in the monthly patient quota. Resolve Physical Therapy is a physical therapist owned small private practice located in Milford, PA. We deliver high quality, skilled one on one physical therapy services to our local community with an emphasis on manual therapy and patient specific therapeutic interventions. We are looking for a part time physical therapy assistant position which could progress to a full time position in the future.
Duties:
- Assist the physical therapist in providing patient care and treatment
- Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the physical therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
- Administer treatments such as heat, cold and electrical stimulation
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area
- Occasionally assist with scheduling or making phone calls to patients if needed
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience in outpatient orthopedics is required
- Familiarity with hands on interventions or a willingness to increase your manual skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- CPR Certification is preferred
- Indirect supervision license is a requirement Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Pay:
$25.00- $36.
