Duties Help Perform a wide range of complex physical therapy duties requiring an advanced practical knowledge of physical therapy, evidence-based medicine and da collection. Provide evaluion and therapeutic interventions to a full range of wounded, ill, and injured service members. Perform comprehensive neuromusculoskeletal evaluions (in a physician extender role) on pients presenting with medicalor surgical diagnoses with or without physician referral. Design trement plans to meet pient/clinical objectives to maximize restorion of physical and adaptive roles and functions. Direct and coordine military and civilian physical therapy assistants and technicians engaged in performing physical therapy care and trement. Develop protocols and standard opering procedures (SOP) for PT programs. Provide recommendions for continued trement, home programs, reconditioning and provide guidance on physical health, functional and adaptive activities. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determinion, as determined by a completed background investigion. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examinion and an annual examinion thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties. Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probionary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. This position requires Basic Life Support training certificion from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Associion and American Red Cross. Employees assigned to a medical trement facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizions or pre-existing immunity based on occupional risk, regardless of job series. This position has a mandory seasonal influenza vaccinion requirement and is subject to annual vaccinion. Must possess a current unrestricted license or registrion as a Physical Therapist from a Ste, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a territory of the US; and must have passed the NPTE from the Federion of Ste Boards of Physical Therapy.Qualificions Who May Apply:
