In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, provides therapeutic services including evaluation, treatment, and education. Monitors the treatment activities of PTA's and aides. Rotating weekend work schedule required.Supervisory responsibilities:
After one year of experience, may act as student supervisor. Directs treatment activities of PT assistants and rehabilitation aides.Education, Licensure, Registration and Experience:
Graduate of an approved bachelor's degree or higher program as a PT. Previous Clinical experience/rehabilitation experience preferred. State Licensure (or eligible) as a PT CPR certificationEssential Functions:
Completes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with the established standards of care and practice. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to ensure evaluations are performed safely and accurately. (i.e., utilized speech therapist for identifying best modes of communication for aphasic patient). Short- and long-term goals are realistic, measurable, and address functional needs.

Standards of Employment:
Attends all mandatory education programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety and regulatory compliance. Appearance is professional, neat, clean, and appropriate for the work environment. Wears proper photo identification badge while on duty. Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times, as observed by peers and management. Attends monthly staff meetings and participates in monthly rounding process with manager to assure effective and timely two-way communications. Participates in and completes required department specific education and training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to department safety and specific job-related hazards.
