FullTime St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a tertiary care hospital focused on the treatment of catastrophic childhood illnesses including cancer, sickle cell disease and other hematologic disorders, HIV and other infectious diseases, endocrinology, and neurological disorders. The Rehabilitation Services department at St. Jude is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to patients and their families. We are seeking a driven and compassionate Physical Therapist I or II to join our team. Learn more about St.

stjude.org/care-treatment/treatment/clinics-services/rehabilitation-services Identifies, tests, diagnoses, and treats a range of conditions to restore function, alleviate pain, and prevent disability; provides comprehensive care to infants, children, adolescents, young adults, and adults in the inpatient and outpatient settings; and consistently participates in clinical programming, educational, and research initiatives as directed.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments; study, identify, measure, and treat disorders as part of the Rehabilitation Services department.
  • Provide preventive, habilitative, rehabilitative, adaptive, and palliative care, and deliver suitable interventions to both inpatients and outpatients within area.
  • Provide evidence-based treatment within area to improve outcomes and quality of life for patients.
  • As applicable, oversee provision of devices and aids related to own rehabilitation area, and operate testing equipment.
  • Participate in clinical programming, education, and research initiatives as directed.
  • Complete and review appropriate documents and records as required; communicate with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., clinical and research staff) as required.
  • Assess need for, recommend, and oversee the process of measuring and fitting orthotic and prosthetic devices and assistive devices.
  • Counsel patients and caregivers regarding diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
Minimum Education and/or
Training:
Master's degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy required. Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
Minimum Experience:
PT II:
7+ years of pediatric experience in physical therapy with relevant Master's degree or 3+ years of experience in physical therapy with Doctorate in Physical Therapy. 1+ years in pediatric oncology preferred. Experience executing and leading patient treatment plans within relevant rehabilitation area. Proven performance in earlier role.
Minimum Experience:
PT I:
1+ years of pediatric experience preferred. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by
Law:
Licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT-TN) by the state of Tennessee Board of Examiners, Division of Health Related Boards required. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by

Member of the American Physical Therapy Association required. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $78,000 - $139,360 per year for the role of
