Job Description

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist II specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) care! In this vital role, you will deliver expert physiotherapy services to our most delicate patients—preterm and critically ill newborns—ensuring they receive the highest quality of care during their early developmental stages. Your expertise will support infants' growth, optimize their physiological stability, and promote positive health outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable infants and their families through compassionate, evidence-based practice. Responsibilities Assess neonates' physical condition, including mobility, muscle tone, and developmental progress, to develop personalized care plans. Implement specialized physiotherapy interventions such as trigger point therapy, positioning techniques, and respiratory support tailored to neonatal needs. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to coordinate comprehensive discharge planning and ongoing care strategies. Monitor and document patient progress meticulously within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes. Educate families on home and community care practices to support continued development post-discharge. Manage acute care situations by responding swiftly to changes in patient physiology or condition, providing immediate therapeutic interventions. Participate in hospital rounds and contribute expert insights on pediatrics, orthopedics, geriatrics, and other relevant specialties to enhance overall patient care. Requirements Valid licensure as a licensed Physical Therapist with specialization or experience in pediatrics or NICU settings. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and developmental milestones relevant to neonatal patients. Proven experience working in inpatient hospital environments, outpatient clinics, or home health settings with a focus on pediatrics or geriatrics. Strong skills in discharge planning, care plan development, and patient education for home & community care. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient management. Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure acute care scenarios requiring quick decision-making. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate families effectively. IND Pay:
$62.76 - $83.41 per hour
