Key responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive patient evaluations and using clinical reasoning to establish treatment goals aimed at timely progress toward discharge. Documenting patient care thoroughly and accurately, including goal writing, functional quality indicators, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry following regulatory and clinic standards. Ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and insurance approvals. Participating in student education by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing evaluations. Engaging in continual professional development with clinical management and pursuing educational opportunities to meet strategic organizational objectives. Maintaining licensure and completing required continuing education in accordance with discipline-specific state laws and professional codes of conduct. Promoting patient and employee safety through adherence to safety protocols across areas including safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazard awareness.
