Are you looking for your next opportunity as a Physical Therapist where you can be part of a compassionate, patient-focused care team? We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist (PRN) to join our Inpatient Therapy Team at NMC Health. In this hospital-based role, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality therapy services to patients in an Inpatient setting. Your expertise and compassionate care will support recovery and improve quality of life for our patients as they heal. Sign-On Bonus eligible.Key responsibilities include:
Evaluating patients and developing individualized treatment plans Providing evidence-based physical therapy services to inpatients and other designated levels of care Supervising and guiding supportive staff and therapy students Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Documenting treatments, progress, and care plans in compliance with regulatory standards Participating in safety procedures, quality improvement activities, and department initiativesQUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Kansas. Must have, or immediately obtain Basic life support (BLS) certification. Must maintain BLS certification Previous inpatient or hospital experience preferred, but not required Member of APTA and/or KPTA preferredKnowledge and Skills:
Must know principles and practice of Physical Therapy; be familiar with the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics; be familiar with department/organization policies, procedures and regulations; be aware of inter-department/organization communications; be able to apply supervision and management techniques Must be able to apply the theory of physical therapy; have the ability and competency to operate equipment of their position; be able to perform technical procedures; be able to speak intelligently and in a professional manner before others; demonstrate supervision and management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Excellent communication and organizational skills Join our Team!
