Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a PRN (as-needed) or contract Physical Therapist, where you will play a vital role in restoring mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing the quality of life for diverse patient populations. This flexible position offers the opportunity to work across inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, home health environments, and community care programs. Your expertise in physiotherapy will directly impact patient recovery journeys by developing personalized care plans and delivering compassionate, evidence-based therapy. Duties Assess patients' physical conditions through comprehensive evaluations, including physiology and anatomy knowledge, to determine appropriate therapy interventions. Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs, including discharge planning for seamless transition across care settings. Deliver targeted physiotherapy treatments such as trigger point therapy, orthopedics rehabilitation, geriatrics support, pediatrics therapy, and outpatient modalities. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting care plans to optimize outcomes while ensuring safety and comfort during therapy sessions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals—to coordinate patient care effectively across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and community environments. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical records (EMR systems), maintaining compliance with medical terminology standards and privacy regulations. Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, mobility techniques, and home exercise programs to promote ongoing recovery outside clinical settings. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the applicable jurisdiction. Proven experience in acute care hospital settings, inpatient rehabilitation units, outpatient clinics, or home health services. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and developing effective care plans for diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Experience working with EMR systems for documentation of patient care activities. Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments—hospital experience is highly valued. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients effectively.
