Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Contract An outpatient physical therapist is needed to provide exceptional care to patients with a range of conditions, including orthopedic concerns, post-operative joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs, and mild neurological diagnoses. This position is contract-based and offers a collaborative and supportive hospital setting. The department treats adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, with daily caseloads of 10-12 on standard eight-hour shifts.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 or 10-hour shifts available Typical hours: 8 am-5 pm (early start at 7 am or late finish at 6 pm for 10-hour days) No weekend or on-call requirements Every other holiday coverage
Qualifications:
Active Physical Therapist license in the State of Ohio, in good standing Current BLS certification Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred) At least 1 year of experience in outpatient physical therapy Comfortable working with orthopedic and mild neurological patient populations Experience with transfer equipment (Sara Steady, Hoyer) desired Specialty certifications (OCS, SCS, NDT, Lymphedema, Women's Health) a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs Collaborate with patients, families, and the care team for optimal outcomes Assess patients using standardized and non-standardized tests Complete documentation, pre-certification, and authorization processes Provide patient/family education and discharge planning Participate in clinical education and process improvement initiatives Maintain professional competency through continuing education Support the work environment by sharing team responsibilities Working with a diverse patient population in a modern, well-equipped setting, this role provides an opportunity to broaden your clinical expertise while making a meaningful impact.
