Under on-site supervision of Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant assists with deparmtental operations and patient care in accordance with an established physician plan of care and in compliance with applicable licensure/certification requirements, Texas state practice acts, and Hunt Memorial Hospital District policies and procedures.POSITION SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent with ability to read, write and follow written instructions. Demonstrates proficiency in understanding the materials presented during the corporate integrity and compliance training and education program. Complies with all HIPAA standards. Assists with patient treatment as directed by the Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Assists patient with mobility skills including bed mobility, transfers, and gait as directed by PT, PTA, ST, OT, or COTA. Assists with wound care by preparing equipment and supplies and removing and disposing of dressing. Prepares and applies hot/cold packs, paraffin, ultrasound, and TENS as directed by the PT, PTA, OT, or COTA. Prepares and positions patient for treatment as directed by the PT, PTA, OT or COTA. Performs responsibilities related to departmental operations. Maintains daily patient treatment documentation (relays orders, enters charges, keeps monthly statistical reports). Performs clerical duties (collects and distributes mail, answers phone, complies charts, files and makes copies). Ensures clean, safe working environment. Cleans work areas and prepares for next use; cleans supply area. Maintains clean hydro equipment and other equipment as directed. Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials; replaces sharps/hazardous waste containers when full.Similar remote jobs
