Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)- I, where you will play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to work across diverse settings such as inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, home health environments, and skilled nursing facilities. You will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to implement personalized care plans and deliver compassionate patient care. Your energy and dedication will contribute to positive patient outcomes and foster a supportive healing environment. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Provide hands-on therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises to promote recovery. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and communicate updates to supervising therapists. PTA supports discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings through education and guidance. Maintain accurate medical terminology records, treatment logs, and care plans in compliance with healthcare standards. PTA educates patients on physiotherapy exercises, injury prevention strategies, and post-treatment care routines. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines during all therapy sessions. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other manual therapies. Experience working in inpatient settings or skilled nursing facilities is highly preferred. Familiarity with outpatient clinics, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care environments. Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including elderly and pediatric patients. Knowledge of discharge planning processes and home health considerations for seamless patient transitions.
