Job Description

Category Schools - PTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact supporting school-aged students as part of a collaborative educational team. Utilize your expertise to help students achieve their physical therapy goals and maximize their potential in a dynamic school-based setting.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Active PTA licensure and eligibility to practice in the state Previous experience in school settings or pediatric therapy preferred Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and school-based therapy documentation Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities Ability to adapt treatments to meet each child's unique needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Implement individualized physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist Support students in achieving motor skill development, improved mobility, and independence within the school environment Accurately document progress, maintain records, and contribute to the development of therapy goals Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to promote student success Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning for student services Attend professional development and remain updated on best practices
