Salary:
$110,000•155,000 (depending on experience) New Graduates and Experienced Physician Assistants Welcome! Works under the supervision of 1 Physician About the Role Join a busy orthopedic practice specializing in joint, hip, and knee surgery. You'll spend three days in the OR and two days in clinic, with on-call responsibilities finalized at offer. Strong physician mentorship makes this a great fit for new graduates as well as PAs ready for higher surgical volume. This is a physically demanding role. The patient population skews larger, and you'll repeatedly lift, transfer, and stabilize 50-100+ pounds throughout the workday in the OR. What You'll Do First assist in joint, hip, and knee procedures; deep and superficial tissue closures Perform pre-op H&Ps, post-op evaluations, hospital rounds, and discharge dictation Run clinic visits: physical exams, diagnostic interpretation (X-ray, MRI, CT, DEXA), injections, joint aspirations, casting/splinting, suturing Take first call: admissions, emergency surgery scheduling, orders, and physician briefings Order and interpret labs and imaging; write prescriptions including controlled substances Educate patients on treatment plans and orthopedic devices Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and surgical logs Requirements Graduate of an accredited PA program (new grads welcome) Active Texas PA license (or eligibility) Completed orthopedic rotation during PA training required Physical stamina to lift/maneuver 50-100+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day Strong communication and organizational skills Benefits PPO, HDHP, and Surest healthcare plans (with $100/month tobacco-free discount) Dental, vision, life, AD&D, short•and long-term disability 401(k) with annual employer contributions HSA/FSA, legal assistance,
