Scheduled Clinic Hours Plus Call Clinic Coverage :

8-hour day shifts from Monday through Friday, providing comprehensive care to pediatric endocrinology patients. Manage routine and follow-up consultations, ensuring the highest quality of care.

Call Coverage :

24-hour call coverage from Monday through Sunday. Call duties are primarily phone-based, including handling "mommy clinic" calls and hospital/ER phone consultations. On-site visits are required only for new diabetic consults, typically involving a single visit during a 48-hour admission to meet with the family and arrange follow-up care.

Candidate Requirements:

Licensure :

Must be licensed in North Carolina.

Certifications :

Board Certification:

Required in Pediatric Endocrinology. DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) certification is mandatory.

Experience :

Extensive experience in pediatric endocrinology, particularly in managing diabetic patients and other endocrine disorders. Ability to provide expert phone consultation and manage inpatient cases with the support of hospitalists.
