Must be board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine or true board eligible. SC licensed with an active DEA and SCDHEC controlled substance license. ACLS and BLS certifications are required.

Practice Environment:

Average census is 43. Hospitalists do not see patients below the age of 18. Hospitalist covers ICU with teleICU coverage. Single coverage with a maximum of 10 admits per night; anything after 10 floats to the day doctor. Must be able to perform intubations, para/thoracentesis, c-lines, and handle stroke alerts and medical alerts.
