Job Description

Locum Tenens Pediatrician Needed near Abbotsford, WI (j-235886) Seeking a Dedicated and Experienced Pediatrician for Locum Tenens Role Are you a compassionate Pediatrician passionate about caring for children and adolescents? We're searching for a skilled and dedicated provider to join our team in a growing community near Abbotsford, WI. This temporary opportunity offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and extends until the permanent position is filled.
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pediatric care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. Conduct thorough patient history and physical examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide preventive care services such as immunizations and health screenings. Perform admissions for pediatric patients and manage their care throughout their hospital stay. Collaborate effectively with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Participate in hospital rounds and provide care for assigned pediatric patients on the inpatient unit. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic electronic medical record system.
Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted Wisconsin (WI) medical license or eligible for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) privileges. Board-certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) is mandatory. Experience in a hospital setting managing pediatric patients is preferred. Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and strong clinical foundation in pediatrics. Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, families, and healthcare teams. Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting. Ability to manage both scheduled clinic hours and call coverage.
