The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage routes efficiently. Responsibilities Operate delivery vehicles, including vans, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel consumption. Handle heavy lifting of packages as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injury. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies encountered during the delivery process. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise. Qualifications Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Familiarity with route driving and local area navigation is essential. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing delivery schedules. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. Experience using courier services or working in logistics is advantageous but not required.
