Job Description

SUMMARY Use Supply Chain concepts to develop strategies related to demand management, procurement and supplier planning, material requirements planning (MRP), capacity requirements planning, key performance measurements, supplier relationships, and continuous improvement. Calibrate with Program Management and cross-functional departments to establish workflow priorities, compile reports on progress, inventory levels, KPI, and production-related issues. Identify process improvement opportunities, interpret customer needs and requirements, translate concepts into practice, and quantify results and trends. Direct or coordinate production, purchasing, logistics, distribution, or financial forecasting services or activities to reduce costs and improve accuracy, customer service, and safety. Examine existing procedures and processes for streamlining activities to meet product distribution and delivery needs. Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory. Make recommendations, develop, and present formal presentations to senior management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, or receiving. Control and monitor material priorities to ensure executions of W/O flow smoothly and meet production schedule Work with Program Management and cross-functional departments to assess production flow, progress, and discuss needed changes for level loading effort Collaborate with quality assurance to identify and qualify new suppliers Update and improve supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws; implement new processes as necessary Develop material costs forecasts and standard cost lists. Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders Assess appropriate material handling requirements and establish procedures as needed Appraise vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements. Develop and implement procedures or systems to evaluate and select suppliers Monitor supplier performance to assess their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements Confer with key stakeholders to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products, increase inventory turns, and reduce waste Evaluate and select information or other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of materials or products distribution, storage, or inventory This job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the position for this job. QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in business or Supply Chain Management related fields from a four-year college or university or 5 years of commiserate experience Preferred minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace industry Ability to achieve positive results in a challenging work environment Documented success in forecasting and planning Ability to maintain an action item log and follow through accordingly to ensure timely completion and closure Have a clear understanding of procurement strategies and be able to plan for recovery whenever necessary and applicable Be able to maintain production schedule and level-load as needed Ability to work with management and understand the necessity of escalation Possess knowledge in production procedures and processes Be able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources Familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP, Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), and logistics Ability to read, understand, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory requirements, and government regulations Possess knowledge of continual improvement and be able to write reports and business correspondence Be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from upper management, customers, and team members etc. Be able to use Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc. CSCP certification and/or Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and carry of materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard.

Pay:
$69,016.65 - $83,116.83 per year
