Coming soon...Student Loan Reimbursement assistance About the Job The Plant Chemist ensures accurate lab testing, quality control, and reporting by managing laboratory operations, analyzing production samples, and supporting site quality initiatives. Perform routine analysis of production and customer samples to ensure quality standards Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment (e.g., XRF, LECO, furnaces) Manage laboratory inventory and ensure adequate stocking of materials Record and analyze data in LIMS and communicate results to operations leadership Generate Certificates of Analysis for outbound shipments Monitor quality trends and support QC/QA program development Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Lab Technicians Maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment and support compliance efforts Required Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field (or equivalent experience) 1-2 years of hands-on laboratory experience Knowledge of laboratory analytical procedures and data reporting Basic understanding of statistics and quality control methods Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Willingness to be on call for off-shift or weekend support as needed Preferred Qualifications Experience with XRF and other industrial lab instrumentation Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and control charts Experience using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Leadership or supervisory experience in a lab environment Strong troubleshooting and equipment maintenance skills The Fine Print Benefits and perquisites may vary based on the nature and location of each job.
