Schedule:
Full-time during the summer, M-F 8-5 Part-time during fall and spring semester 15-25 hours a week Plant engineering interns will work on exciting and challenging topics together with a team in a modern, innovative and creative environment. On-the-job training with expert colleagues guarantees you will quickly become familiar with your duties and perform them independently. This position will support the plant engineering staff with basic engineering duties. The candidate will be a contributor to the technical department for continued safe and efficient operation of the Mobile, AL chemical facility. This position will support the Technical department with basic engineering duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical support to Plant Engineer Ensure successful completion of documentation for technical changes. Support safety and environmental process activities. Ensure compliance with all elements of process safety management. Assist with updating plant mechanical integrity (MI) program Development of Engineering documentation including equipment specification, P&ID's, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferred sophomore and/or junior status in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering. Planning, leading, organizing, and negotiating Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving ability Ability to work on project teams Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills Skilled in successfully overcoming technical challenges Skilled in identifying opportunities for optimization and implementing ideas Proficiency with spreadsheet and data organization Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
