A Brief Summary of This Position:
The Plant Manager is accountable for end-to-end operations of the Farmington plant and for achieving Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) objectives. The incumbent provides leadership, direction, planning, and control across manufacturing, materials/purchasing, production scheduling, and shipping to ensure products are produced safely, meet customer and regulatory requirements, and are delivered complete and on time. This role drives continuous improvement and operational excellence, develops and coaches leaders, and manages budgets and cost controls to optimize productivity, quality performance, and overall plant profitability. The range for this position is $154,000 to $192,500 depending on education and experience.Essential Functions:
Ensure that all administrative, supervisory and hourly positions are staffed with the best qualified personnel available. Drive team engagement through regular coaching, feedback and involvement in day-to-day operations. Foster an environment of open communication. Maintain required professional competencies; assess staffing levels and capability; and develop direct reports through training and development opportunities. Empower all employees to seek and recommend work methods, tools and procedures to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost functions. Develop, coach, and hold leaders and teams accountable through clear expectations, training, and performance management. Enforce company policies and procedures in partnership with HR, the Site Controller and operational leadership. Lead and sustain a continuous improvement culture across all departments. Own site performance to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) targets by setting expectations, reviewing results, and driving corrective actions with the Production and Materials team, including:Safety:

manufacturing expense per earned hour / pcs (TME) Ensure equipment, processes, and behaviors comply with safety requirements. Maintain product quality standards and lead ongoing continuous improvement efforts related to quality. Ensure that production and shipment of product meets or exceeds the conformance and delivery expectations of product users and customers. Lead cross-functional alignment across sales/marketing, engineering, manufacturing, production control, and off-site operations to achieve SQDC commitments. Review daily/weekly SQDC performance and implement countermeasures to protect on-time shipment and cost targets. Communicate plant priorities, performance, and changes to hourly and salaried employees. Manage inventory to support SCOT while minimizing working capital and obsolescence. Oversee preventative maintenance systems in an effort to maintain and protect physical corporate assets. Ensure strong systems are in place and functioning to drive asset reliability. Lead site-level control activities by communicating expectations and ensuring alignment through a strong partnership with the site Controller. Recommend improvements to controls, monitor compliance, and provide accountability to senior management. Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Preferred Bachelors with 7+ years relevant experience or Associates Degree with 9+ years relevant experience or 11+ years of relevant experience Seven or more years of progressive management experience in a manufacturing environment Extensive experience with budget and cost management Working knowledge of all areas of production from material procurement, transformation, through to shipment Experience using MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to travel up to 10%, including overnights Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications B.S. in Manufacturing, Business, Technology, or related field is preferred Master's Degree Prior experience as a Plant Manager of a manufacturing facilityWorking Environment and Physical Efforts:
Work is typically performed in a manufacturing plant environment and the incumbent needs to be able to move about the office and production environments. There is often exposure to conditions such as dust, dirt, heat, fumes, and cold as well as noise levels above 80 decibels. Many aspects of this role are physical and the incumbent has to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The incumbent is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, as well as balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
