•Must have P&L experience•The Plant Manager is accountable for embracing the company's key principles in leading the development of a culture where the pursuit of excellence and a passion for winning is prevalent while leveraging people and processes to deliver world-class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost all the while strictly adhering to Food Safety and Quality requirements. Responsibilities include optimizing daily production operations allowing full utilization of equipment, materials, and staffing resources to maximize efficiency and quality. The Plant Manager is also responsible for establishing and maintaining operational standards through development and review of operational policies and procedures, direction of the Production Supervisors and plant operators, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Major Job Functions Ensure team member safety through enforcement of health and safety policies/protocols and through continuous promotion of a safety culture Lead the development, execution and monitoring of the operations strategy in line with the overall operational objectives to achieve performance, quality, and safety improvement and ensure achievement of manufacturing goals. Accountable for plant level production costs, labor utilization, yield results, Safety performance, Turnover, and OTIF. Ensures adherence to the Food Safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices, including audit targets. Utilize available data including OEE, line speed target, and efficiency and process data to continuously improve productivity, uptime and reliability. Develops, recommends, and implements Capital Improvement for plant, including the preparation and execution of a Capital Plant budget. Meet or exceed customer service level targets through the synchronization of process/activities with all functional area processes, from demand planning through to the delivery to the customer. Proactively identify and resolve safety issues or potential concerns. Support Marketing and R D on new product initiatives. Responsible for adherence to all policies and procedures for Quality Assurance, Food Safety and customer specifications on a day-to-day basis. Continually coach, direct and train employees utilizing Lean principles. Monitor employees' work performance and attitude and perform formal reviews as required by policy. Coach and counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job skill deficiencies. Ensure all plant personnel are operating in compliance with plant and corporate procedures as well as in compliance with all customer and governmental regulations. Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment. Drive employee engagement, training and development to maximize safety, quality, and productivity. Required Skills/Abilities/Education Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: food science, manufacturing, engineering, operations management, or related field. Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience in a Senior Plant Leadership role. Manufacturing, Processing or Packaging industry with specific experience in food production. Results-driven with a strong desire to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment. Strong project management skills and ability to plan and manage numerous people, processes, and resources. In-depth knowledge of GMP's, OTIF and other core food manufacturing practices.
