Plant Manager with Purchasing Experience

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations and our solar installation crews inventory needs.. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient purchasing, staging and loading our trucks for the next day. This role requires a strong background in warehouse management and a deep understanding of CAD and the manufacturing processes. This is a new position for our rapidly growing solar company. Responsibilities Oversee daily coordination of work orders and staging materials for our installation crews. Implement production planning strategies to optimize workflow and resource allocation. Utilize ERP systems, including SAP and MRP, to manage inventory levels and streamline supply chain management resulting in a company cost savings.. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies. Ensure compliance with quality control standards and maintain high levels of product quality. Manage plant budgets, resources, and personnel while ensuring adherence to safety regulations. Provide mechanical and blue print knowledge and facilitate maintenance activities. Foster a culture of teamwork, engagement, and professional development among staff. Skills Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement practices, including lean methodologies. A understanding of supply chain and supply chain management principles. Proven ability in plant management with a focus on operations management. Mechanical knowledge to support equipment maintenance and troubleshooting efforts. Problem-solving skills with a focus on quality control and process improvement. Blue Print and CAD Experience would be a added bonus Small company purchasing and understanding. Computer Skills with some office experience Hi Low abilities as well as bar- coding understanding
