Plant Manufacturing Engineer

Plant Manufacturing Engineer wanted in Plymouth, Michigan to participate in equipment and manufacturing reviews with the cross-functional team, assist in resolving supplier technical issues arising from deviation requests and producibility, adhere to preventative maintenance protocols and the quality management system, maintain current line process documentation such as operator instructions, meet commitments by confronting and elevating issues timely, assist in dimensional verification of components and finished products, ensure equipment effectiveness, participate in corrective actions for customer complaints, drive adherence to quality documents, assist with VA/VE activity for product and process savings, assist with samples and validation builds for product changes, implement product changes onto the manufacturing floor, find opportunities for work optimization, cost savings, work cell consolidation, and process improvements, participate in the fast response process and lead problem-solving efforts on the plant floor, maintain the PFMEA for existing programs, and implement RPN reductions and error-proofing improvements onto the shop floor; Launch new programs involving automotive lighting products; prepare preliminary BOM; design of assembly process; evaluate vendors for assembly line equipment; generate Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans and work instructions for production; participate in trial production and commissioning of assembly line; test product quality for automotive lighting products.
