Plant Operator

Overview We are seeking an RNG Plant Operator to support day-to-day operations at a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facility in Liberal, KS. This position will be responsible for monitoring plant processes, supporting safe and efficient operations, troubleshooting equipment issues, and assisting with routine operational and maintenance activities within an operating industrial environment. This is a hands-on field-based role supporting gas processing and renewable energy operations. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, around industrial equipment, and within a team-focused operating environment. Responsibilities Monitor and operate plant equipment and processes safely and efficiently Perform routine operational rounds and equipment inspections Record operating data, meter readings, and process information Assist with startup, shutdown, and troubleshooting activities Support maintenance activities and coordinate with site leadership as needed Identify and report equipment or operational issues proactively Follow all site safety procedures, permits, and environmental requirements Maintain housekeeping and safe working conditions throughout the facility Support compliance with company HSSE policies and procedures Qualifications Previous industrial plant operations experience preferred Experience in RNG, biogas, oil & gas, wastewater, chemical, power, agriculture, or related industrial environments is a plus Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability preferred Comfortable working in outdoor industrial environments and around rotating equipment Ability to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and callouts as needed Strong safety mindset and team-oriented attitude Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation Preferred Experience Gas processing or compression equipment Pumps, valves, blowers, and mechanical systems Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures Permit-to-work systems Industrial maintenance support exposure Additional Information Local candidates preferred Must be able to pass background check and drug screening Stable work history and strong reliability highly valued

Pay:

$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
