Location:

The town of Cohasset is seeking Program Counselors for the Summer Program with the Recreation Department. This position reports to the Summer Program Director and the Recreation Director.

Program Counselors :

Counselors for the full-day programs must be at least 17. Counselors for the half-day programs must be at least 16 years of age. Previous experience working with children is highly recommended.

Description of r esponsibilities:

The primary responsibility of all the staff is to supervise and lead children aged 5-9 through the Playground program. Additional duties include supporting the director and coordinators, participating in training sessions, maintaining records such as weekly attendance and accident reports, and ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility and grounds. Staff will also enforce Recreation Department rules and policies related to the program and deliver exceptional customer service to both patrons and fellow staff members We are dedicated to building a diverse and committed team with a positive group dynamic, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for the children in our program. The Recreation Department is eager to choose staff members who truly enjoy working with children and possess the maturity, initiative, enthusiasm, and sense of responsibility needed to make this summer unforgettable.

Requirements :

CPR:

All applicants must hold a current CPR certification. CPR classes will be provided to staff at no cost. 202 6
