THE POSITION
Join the Department of Human Services (DHS) at Selinsgrove Center as a Plumber 1 and take on meaningful work that supports dozens of buildings across the grounds. You will use your skills to install, repair, and maintain important plumbing systems that help the Center operate smoothly. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the installation, repair and upkeep of plumbing systems throughout the Selinsgrove Center campus. As a Plumber 1, you will perform the following duties:
Plumbing Installation:
Install and repair water, wastewater, steam and pneumatic lines across multiple buildings
Equipment Maintenance:
Service pumps, valves, thermostats, and related mechanical systems to ensure proper operation
Fixture Repair:
Work on sinks, drains, water closets, drinking fountains, and other plumbing fixtures and components
System Support:
Maintain heating, potable water, and wastewater systems to keep indoor environments comfortable
Utility Assistance:
Help mark underground utilities and assist with PA One Call and larger repair projects
Tool Operation:
Use hand tools and power tools to complete skilled plumbing and mechanical tasks Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Overtime and travel as needed Free parking

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing components and fixtures; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
You must be in possession of an active motor vehicle license.
