Pneumatic Dry Bulk Driver

Requirements and Responsibilities for Pneumatic Drivers As a pneumatic driver for Howes& Howes Trucking our primary goal is to transport material from suppliers to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Requirements:

2 years CDL A driving experience. 21 years or older. No automatic exemption Doubles endorsement or willing and able to get doubles endorsement Transport sand in a pneumatic tanker from shippers to customers silos. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle Perform daily pre and post trip inspections, and tire checks while in route. Safely climb to the top of a trailer to open and close lids when loading. Safely unload products at customers in a timely manner without any product spillage. Be able to move the hoses that may weigh 80 lbs. that are used in the unloading process. Make sure trailer(s) are clean to avoid any cross contamination. Unload into the correct location on shippers' property. Manually pull the 5th wheel release handle to unhook trailers. Climb onto the catwalk behind the cab of the truck as well as on the back of trailers to hook or unhook airlines and electrical cords. Work with other drivers to keep customer supplied with product. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.

Work Week:

On the road monday to friday. We mostly stay in Michigan, some Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois.

Equipment:

Kenworth T800s and T880s with 13 speed manual transmissions. Pneumatic blower A-train doubles, B-train doubles, 8 axle single trailers (Heavy Haul) some tandem axle trailer (80,000lb gross) work out of state.

Pay:

we pay percentage based on gross paid to company. $1200-2000 gross on average to driver a week.
