Job Description

Certified Police Officers The Town of Summerdale, which is located in Baldwin County, Alabama, is currently hiring Certified Police Officers.
Minimum Qualifications :
  • Certified Law Enforcement Officer through the Alabama Police Training Commission (APOSTC) ) or an out of state applicant that qualifies through the Lateral/Refresher Program through APOSTC.
  • Must have a valid driver's license; and must pass the criminal background, polygraph, and psychological exams along with a drug test.
Benefits :
  • Starting salary ranges from $26.00 TO $28.00 per hour, which is negotiable depending on experience, education, and training.
  • Take home vehicle; Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance, Town pays 80% of health care insurance policy; Tier 1-RSA retirement; yearly merit pay raise (2.5% to 5% depending on evaluation) and equipment provided .

As a Police Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws within our community. Duties :
  • Patrol assigned areas to maintain public order and prevent crime
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
  • Conduct investigations into criminal activities and gather evidence
  • Enforce traffic laws and issue citations when necessary
  • Write detailed reports documenting incidents, arrests, and investigations
  • Provide first aid and emergency medical assistance when required
