Job Description
Job Summary Join our dedicated law enforcement team as a Police Officer, where your commitment to safety and community service will make a meaningful impact. Educational Requirements:
Graduate of accredited high school or GED.Essential Duties:
- Work alongside experienced police officers to gain a comprehensive understanding of law enforcement practices, procedures, and protocols.
- Accompany police personnel during routine patrols, traffic stops, arrests, and other law enforcement activities to learn about effective communication, situational awareness, and de-escalation techniques.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including filing reports, processing paperwork, maintaining records, and completing necessary documentation.
- Participate in community outreach initiatives, such as public events, educational programs, and crime prevention campaigns, to foster positive relationships between the police department and the community.
- Engage in physical training activities and maintain a high level of physical fitness to meet the demanding requirements of law enforcement duties.
- Study and familiarize yourself with relevant federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations to ensure compliance and facilitate effective law enforcement.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance your understanding of law enforcement techniques, ethical standards, and personal growth.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on department equipment, firearms, and vehicles to ensure operational readiness.
- Be prepared to aid during emergency situations, including natural disasters, accidents, and criminal incidents, under the supervision and guidance of senior officers.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to maintain a secure and efficient working environment.

- Ability to meet specific physical requirements as determined by competent authority.
- Ability to lift up to 73% of body weight as required. Qualifications
- Must be a citizen of the United States.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Possesses a valid driver's license.
- Must have never been convicted of any felony.
- Must have never been prohibited by state or federal law from possessing a firearm.
- Must be able to successfully pass medical examination and a physical fitness test.
- Must have never been discharged under dishonorable or other than honorable from any military service and must have not had certification as a peace officer permanently revoked in any other state.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in law enforcement practices.
- Ability to pass a drug and background test.
Pay:
$41,948.03 - $57,478.92 per yearBenefits:
