POLICE OFFICER BOROUGH OF GROVE CITY NOTICE OF EXAMINATION

•Recruitment incentive of $7,000 paid out over the first year of employment•A civil service examination will be held to begin the process of establishing a list of eligible candidates for the position of patrol officer in the Borough of Grove City. Applicants must meet the following qualifications: 1) They must be a citizen of the United States 2) They must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age before the deadline for submitting applications. 3) They must possess a diploma from an accredited high school or graduate equivalency diploma. 4) They must possess a valid motor vehicle license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. 5) They must have successfully completed the training and education prescribed by the Municipal Police Education and Training Act (Act 120) prior to appointment. 6) They will be required to produce positive proof of identification (ie: a valid picture driver license) when submitting the application packet. 7) Applicants must score 70% or higher on the written examination to be considered for further processing. 00 A.M. Thursday, June 11, 2026 Anyone arriving after 9:00 a.m. will not be tested. Must have valid photo ID the date of testing, prior to start of the test.

A PHYSICAL AGILITY TEST WILL BE ADMINISTERED AT 1

00 PM

ON THE SAME DATE FOR ALL CANDIDATES PASSING THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION. CANDIDATES SHOULD DRESS APPROPRIATELY OR BRING A CHANGE OF CLOTHES.

Physical Agility Testing will include Push-ups, Sit-ups, 1.5 Mile Run (timed), 300-meter run (timed). Candidates will be evaluated on and must pass these at the 30th percentile standard based upon the Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research standards. This is a cumulative test.
