Police/School Resource Officer

Employment Opportunity:

Hiring a Full-Time Police Officer/School Resource Officer The Cumberland Township Police Department in partnership with the Carmichaels Area School District seeks applicants for a full time position with the Cumberland Township Police Department. The position shall be assigned as a 9-month School Resource Officer Position / 3-month Patrol Officer beginning the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates shall possess their Act 120 certification and must obtain their Basic SRO Certification within 6 months of hire. Prior Law Enforcement Experience as an SRO is preferred. All applicants must meet the following minimum requirements: be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and successfully complete a drug screening.
