Polish and Assembly Operators

JOB SUMMARY

Cleans, polishes, and assembles for shipment, painted spoilers by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wipes parts with buffing cloth
• Holds part against buffing wheel.
• Cuts off seeds and removes blemishes from painted spoiler and polishes part.
• Mounts part on fixture, cloth against spoiler to polish, or buff surface.
• Cleans interior surfaces of spoiler and assemblies tail light and pads. Changes tools on powered hand sanders and buffer equipment
• Must be able to pass the Farnsworth Munsell 100-Hue Test
• Applies abrasive compound, wax, or other dressing to facilitate cleaning or polishing operation.
• Packages part for shipment to customer
• Must be able to be regular in attendance and work overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Participates in safety training as position requires and observes all plant safety rules.

Pay:

$17.34 - $17.64 per hour
